Dr Mark Harvey is an Organisational Ethics Specialist with a strong reputation for delivering outcomes in the tertiary and consultancy sectors. Dr Harvey has over 25 years-experience in law enforcement, including twenty-two as an appointed Detective.
Dr Harvey’s experience has included undertaking and coordinating highly confidential criminal investigations into the conduct of police and public officials as a member of the Queensland Police Service Ethical Standards Command and the Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission. Dr Harvey has also consulted to law enforcement agencies across the globe including Interpol.
Dr Harvey has created and reviewed systems and processes to assure the alignment of organisational values and ethical standards with actual practices from the board room to the factory floor. This has included consultancy to corporations, not-for-profits and public sector agencies. This work has proven the effectiveness of the Raise the Bar methodology.
As well as delivering Raise the Bar, Dr Harvey works with QUT to provide tailored ethics training to corporate clients.
Rod Welford is a thought leader and strategist in many areas of public policy, including energy, sustainability and strategic policy. Rod trained as a lawyer and practised as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and a barrister of the High Court of Australia, working as a corporate and commercial litigation lawyer.
In 1989, he was elected to the Parliament of Queensland, serving for nearly 20 years as a leading legislator and policy maker. During his career as a Parliamentarian, Rod held numerous senior positions in the Government, including the following ministerial roles: Minister for Environment and Heritage and Minister for Natural Resources; Attorney General and Minister for Justice; Minister for Education and Training; and Minister for the Arts.
Following his career in Government, Rod has served on several boards and as company director and advisor. Based on his legal training and contribution to law, including as Queensland Attorney General, Rod has strong commitment to progressive, ethical governance.

Dr Alistair Ping has taught Ethics for over 20 years in Australia, the UK and Africa. His experience includes teaching at Southern Cross University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Federation University, and Mount Eliza Business School, Victoria, as well as customised training programs for corporations, not-for-profit, and government organisations. He is also a Fulbright scholar in corporate social responsibility.
For the last eight years, Dr Ping has worked at Queensland University of Technology Graduate School of Business, where he is an Adjunct Professor and teaches leadership and ethics. He is also the academic director of the Queensland Treasury Great Leaders Program.

Heath is a Business Advisory Partner at Bentleys Accounting. He has national and international consulting, middle-market, institutional advisory and corporate finance experience – including in the areas of business strategy, diagnostics, risk analysis, forecasting, value creation and benefit realisation.
Heath’s background is underpinned by his specialist experience in industry sectors including health and aged care, family-owned businesses, government, community organisations, agribusiness, biotechnology and manufacturing. He has worked closely with businesses at all levels – from start-up ventures to large public sector entities.
His close involvement with Australia’s health and ageing sector has earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor to a wide range of private and not-for-profit organisations, capital funders and policy makers. His insight is regularly sought for industry commentary, publications and presentations.
Heath also leads the firm’s Technology and Innovation division. The team supports clients to improve business efficiency, make better decisions and strengthen business intelligence. Heath and his team have a passion for developing and commercialising new products and services.

Melinda was a Litigator, Professor of Law and Managing Director of her own business before joining QUTeX as a Professor of Practice.
She has custom-designed corporate education programs for a range of sectors including mining and resources, the legal and medical professions, government, banking and NGOs. She also has extensive international experience including consultancy projects in Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, The Czech Republic and Papua New Guinea.
Melinda teaches Negotiation and Business Law in the Graduate MBA and EMBA programs, is an Executive Coach and also leads the Ethical Decision-Making Masterclass series for QUTeX.
